“People in our household have seen NPs Nicole and Rashonda who have both been fantastic. Rashonda really has a way with connecting with kids and has been an encouraging addition to our ADHD pack of tools. Nicole has likewise been wonderful working with adults and has great “bedside manner”- if that’s even what you’d call it in psych :) She’s easy to talk to and has really helped her patients go from surviving to thriving. The only complaint I have about APG after working with them for around a year now is their billing dept. It seems to be outsourced and maybe even outsourced out of the country, but I can’t say this as a fact. The system continued requiring us to pay our $150+ copayment for several appts after our high deductible was met. The way their virtual appt system works, you click the Telehealth link and you must pay your required copay upfront prior to being admitted into the appt, which is fine, unless there’s an error where it’s asking you to pay much more than you know it should be. It’s not a quick same day fix with the billing dept. In our case, appointments were going to be covered by Cigna at 80%, yet they were having us pay as though the deductible still wasn’t met. It was frustrating to address, but it was eventually corrected and they did end up crediting our account for the multiple overpayments. I didn’t knock any stars off for the billing frustrations because the providers truly are fantastic. We’ve previously seen another local (MD) provider who is a “specialist” in pediatric developmental psych in Maitland, and that experience left us feeling defeated as the things we struggled with only seemed to get worse with her recommendations and treatment(s) prescribed. APG has helped our ADHD kids tremendously without layering med over med over med as this other local provider did. Rashonda never talks down to the kids or acts in any authoritarian way with them, as we had previously experienced with this other provider in Maitland (which just doesn’t work with ADHD/ODD kids!) Overall, I highly recommend both Rashonda and Nicole specifically at APG. I am sure they have other providers who are great, these are just the two we have experience with.”
