“My son was seen by Ms Tamar White for a psychiatric assessment recently due to having been called for jury duty. My husband and I have cared for our 28 year old son his life. We know his strengths and abilities, however, we also knew he would not be able to serve on a jury. Ms White met with us together. She listened compassionately and considered our son's feelings and insecurities without making him feel unworthy. We appreciated her gently voice and warm personality, which was exactly what our son needed. We are grateful for her help with our situation. Our sincere thanks!”

“I visited this office after an insurance change and was hoping to establish care with a new provider. I came to the appointment prepared to be honest and transparent about my medical history and treatment needs. Unfortunately, I left feeling judged, dismissed, and not fully heard. I understand that providers have discretion in treatment decisions, and my review is not about expecting a specific outcome. My concern is about the way the conversation was handled after I shared sensitive personal information. After I shared that information, the tone of the appointment seemed to change immediately. I felt I was suddenly being spoken to as though I had a current or ongoing issue that was not part of my history, and I was not aware of any information available to the provider that would support that assumption. I did not feel I was given a fair opportunity to discuss my current circumstances, long-term stability, or treatment history. During the appointment, I became emotional while discussing sensitive information, and a comment was made that I felt was inappropriate and unprofessional. I later followed up with the care coordinator to explain my concerns and ask that they be addressed, but I have not received a response after more than three weeks. Patients should be able to speak honestly with healthcare providers without feeling judged, labeled, or dismissed. I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure that sensitive conversations are handled with more care and professionalism.”
