“It was a strange experience even though I didn’t experience much. I called and scheduled a same day virtual consultation for 4pm. They contacted me at 1pm a few hours later to say that the doctor wanted an in-person initial consultation. However, the closest they could find was 2 and a half hours away from me. I can’t possibly fit a small road trip in my schedule for a psych eval, so they cancelled the appointment. Not a huge deal, but the customer service felt strange. It felt very outsourced which I wouldn’t expect from what I thought was a local office. Edit: I received a phone call from one of the managers. He was very kind and informative on how what should have happened and how they would learn from my experience. He did mention that they had many providers across Florida and that they could find someone closer to me. Unfortunately, I already started the process elsewhere. However, due to this interaction, if it doesn’t work out elsewhere I will come back and try again. I would also like to add that he wasn’t pushy in trying to retain my business, just a genuinely kind recovery experience.”

“Therapists were fine but the billing and customer service departments were deplorable. Predatory company. Would highly recommend finding a local, small therapy office or use one of the other corporate therapy companies - Chrysalis or Elite DNA”

“I would encourage prospective patients to keep looking and avoid Harmony United Psychiatric Care. My initial consultation went reasonably well, although I was concerned by the condition of the building and office environment. During that appointment, I specifically met with a provider I had carefully selected because I felt she would be the best fit for my needs. However, I was informed during the consultation that she had no availability and would need to transfer my care to another provider. Unfortunately, the issues only escalated from there. My first follow-up appointment was scheduled as an in-person visit, but I was contacted the day before and told it would need to be changed to telehealth because the provider was working remotely. When I joined the telehealth session, the provider never appeared. After waiting 15 minutes, I called the office and was told they were experiencing technical difficulties with their telehealth system... I then rescheduled for another in-person appointment, only to receive a call the morning of the visit informing me that the provider had a family emergency and would not be available. After scheduling yet another appointment, I received a telehealth confirmation despite specifically requesting and scheduling an in-person visit. When I contacted the office, I was told there were no in-person appointments available. At no point during scheduling was this communicated to me, which made it feel like staff were simply trying to get me booked rather than ensuring the appointment met my needs. As a result, I never actually received care beyond the initial consultation. While I understand that mental health treatment often requires discussing sensitive personal information, it felt unsettling to share extensive details during an intake appointment and then never be able to establish care with a provider afterward. To make matters worse, I received a bill two months later for my consultation copay. While reviewing my insurance claims, I discovered that Harmony had submitted claims not only for my initial consultation but also for the telehealth appointment where no provider ever joined the session. I have not yet been billed for that appointment, but seeing it submitted to insurance raised serious concerns. I understand that emergencies happen and occasional scheduling issues are unavoidable. However, the repeated cancellations, scheduling errors, communication problems, and billing concerns created an experience that felt highly disorganized and unprofessional.”
