“What a wonderful experience with LifeStance Health! I was so happy from the very first phone call interaction with the front office . They are so kind and efficient, I felt instantly comfortable . I arrived for my appointment and Dr. Yolanda greeted me with such a sweet, kind and nurturing demeanor , and I enjoyed our session very much. She is easy to talk to and made me feel like we were friends right off the bat! I then had therapy right after my session with Yolanda and I met with Miss Holly and my goodness, she is such an angel as well!! Talking with her is like talking to your own mom , she’s so warm and caring, talking to her felt like being wrapped in a big warm hug. I am so happy to have found these wonderful, professional , and genuine people here at LifeStance Health. If you aren’t getting your mental health services here you are doing yourself a disservice. “I wish I could give ZERO stars. I called my insurance and Lifestance to get approval for a first session after a serious traumatic incident (losing my mother to suicide). I was told everything was covered, no problem. I arrive to my appointment and I am told by the receptionist that she has to call to verify coverage. While doing so, her manager approaches and asks her if she is calling my insurance. She tells her to "hang up because it's a waste of time." She tells me very rudely that they don't accept my insurance. I told her I already verified coverage and I gave her a confirmation number, but she just repeated they do not accept it. At this point I am in tears, I am missing my session. The receptionist is obviously a compassionate person but her manager was very disrespectful. My husband calls his employer and they assure me it will be covered but since it is an emergency, I can pay the self-pay rate for this session and they'll make sure to work with Lifestance to bill my insurance so I can be reimbursed. I self-pay $355 (you read that right)! I should have paid a $50 copay but I was desperate to talk to a therapist after losing my mother to suicide less than a week prior. I called to give feedback about my negative experience and was told to send my complaint to an email address. I attempted 2 more times to various email addresses to give my feedback but I was ignored. It took them over SIX MONTHS to work with my insurance and bill them properly. I was reimbursed, but I have to tell you I wasn't sure it was ever going to happen. The receptionist was very kind and I believe she rearranged someone else's appointment to get me in after missing my original appointment. The therapist was a compassionate person but I could tell it was not going to be a good fit. And after the treatment I received from management, I NEVER wanted to visit again. That never should have happened to anyone, let alone someone in crisis. They should have acknowledged their mistake and apologized, but I suppose the only recourse I have is to warn others to stay far away from this place.”
