“I have been on antidepressants and gone to therapist for over 30 years. Antidepressants are supposed to make you happy. Unfortunately, as with any medication antidepressants have adverse effects. The side effects I most often experienced with my antidepressants included, feeling very tired and weight gain. The antidepressants were supposed to make me happy but with side effects such as these, I often found myself feeling more depressed. I also found myself many times skipping medication because I hated the way it would make me feel. This past year, my life turned upside down and my depression got worse than ever. I did not see any way out. I kept telling my psychiatrist that I felt as if I was about to explode. This went on for more than six months. There finally came a point when my psychiatrist decided there was nothing else he could do for me. As a result, he fired me from his practice. I really didn’t know what to do at that point. I questioned myself and felt doomed as if this is just the way life was supposed to be for me. I cannot thank Tametra and Avon enough for working with me and showing me a different alternative to antidepressants. Prior to getting started with TMS my insurance required a prior authorization. I know that TMS is a process and I needed to begin the treatment as soon as possible since I was out of work on FMLA for only 12 weeks. Tametra and Avon went out of their way to ensure I could start the TMS treatment as soon as possible without any delays. Many people are not as familiar with the way TMS works when compared to other conventional treatments for depression, such as antidepressants or psychotherapy. TMS treatment involves 36, consecutive, treatments over approximately seven weeks. If this sounds like a long time, just think about how long you have been battling your depression without any success. Plus, For those of you wondering, how 36 treatments are even possible you will soon realize that it goes by quickly, and Tametra and Avon make you feel very comfortable and as if you’re family. TMS has completely changed how I was feeling and has allowed me to get back up on my feet, build my life again, ultimately be happy and return to work successfully. I had doubts in the beginning, but trust me the results speak for themselves. Approximately three weeks into my treatment not only was I feeling better, but my husband was able to tell me he too could see a difference in my demeanor. If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, I would highly recommend going to mid Florida TMS centers and speaking with Tametra. TMS worked for me. After all, what do you have to lose, nothing, but you have so much you could gain if you start TMS treatment.”
