“On April 15, 2026, Dr. Villa provided a thorough, patient-focused initial telehealth assessment for my special-needs adult child, arriving nearly an hour late but then dedicating 40 solid minutes to a thoughtful medication review and plan. However, communication and follow-through were disastrous. His office has no live phone support—only voicemail and text—and after the initial appointment, his assistant texted a follow-up date but never sent the telehealth link or responded to urgent messages. On the day of the follow-up, we waited over two hours with no call, no link, and no response. We were left without critical refills, forcing an ER visit and psychiatric admission to stabilize my son. While clinically impressive during I the initial assessment, Dr. Villa’s and office's complete abandonment of care caused a medical crisis. I cannot recommend this practice. Response to Renova Health’s Reply Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, our experience directly contradicted the care standards you describe. After Dr. Villa’s initial assessment, your office failed to provide the scheduled telehealth link for the follow-up Telehealth appointment Dr. Villa requested for a month later and did not respond to multiple urgent messages, and left us waiting over two hours on the follow-up day with no contact. This complete breakdown in communication and follow-through — despite your stated policies for scheduling and ensuring continuous care — resulted in my special-needs adult child going without critical medication refills and requiring an ER visit plus psychiatric admission. We respect patient privacy and HIPAA as well, which is why we have not shared protected details. However, these operational failures are factual and caused a serious medical crisis. We are grateful the hospital crisis unit referred us to a psychiatrist who actually delivers the timely and responsive care you claim to provide. We cannot recommend this practice.”
