“I moved from GA and had to switch to a new psychiatric medication maintenance provider after having the same psychiatrist for 10 or more years before moving to Florida. Being forced to get a new provider just because I moved to another state seemed really counterintuitive to the entire mental health process as someone with a history of childhood trauma (Complex PTSD). It didn’t really make any sense to me as to why I had to act like my previous doctor didn’t have a medical license just because he was in another state. Mind you I was and am a single mom who just moved by herself to a completely new state, had to find a new job, buy a house, and get my young one in school. However , sometimes life forces you to grow and expand. Kristin has been nothing but excellent as I have navigated my medications and living in a new state for the last year and a half. Finding her forced me to see that sometimes major changes are safe and they help you learn to trust in others and the universe just a little more than you previously thought you could. I have endured some major life changes in the last month and we had our scheduled virtual visit. I can’t even explain the level of comfort I felt when I saw her face pop up for the virtual visit. I felt very supported and validated after telling her how I reacted and felt in emotionally uncomfortable circumstances the past few weeks. I highly recommend Kristin!
