“I am writing this review on behalf of a friend who did not feel comfortable sharing her experience publicly. However, after hearing what occurred during her appointment, I believe it is important for others to be aware and make informed decisions about their care. My friend scheduled an appointment for medication management at Serenity Mental Health Center in Jacksonville. Instead of discussing adjustments to her current treatment plan, she left feeling that she was being directed toward ketamine therapy while being told she would be taken off her existing medications. When she expressed concerns and explained that her understanding was that ketamine treatment is generally associated with specific depression related conditions, she felt those concerns were not adequately addressed. What was especially alarming to her was the focus on a ketamine program that reportedly costs approximately $25,000, coupled with discussions about payment plans. She also left the appointment with serious concerns about conversations surrounding diagnosis coding and insurance coverage. Whether intentional or not, the discussion left her questioning the ethics of the recommendations. Mental health patients deserve transparent, patient-centered care that prioritizes their well-being above all else. Based on what she experienced, she found the entire interaction to be highly unethical and left feeling pressured toward an expensive treatment option rather than receiving objective medication management guidance. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions, seek a second opinion, and carefully evaluate all recommendations before moving forward.”

“The office environment is super nice, always very clean, with an amazing view of the city. I’m on my third visit and it’s been going very well. Everyone is really freaking nice! Doc Tyson asks me how I feel and actually seems to really care. He doesn’t pay attention to the clock or try to hurry through anything. He lets me talk and get my mind out on the table so that he understands if my meds are working. We’re going to start TMS soon. I’ll be sure to post an update.”

From the woman at the front desk, to the man who took my blood pressure, and the psychiatrist herself, everyone made me feel important and comfortable. My psychiatrist, Christina, really understands my needs and I’m super thankful I found her!”

“This place is really great. Scheduling appointments is very easy to do. I never feel like I am another person to them. They take the time to talk through things with me. They take the time to talk through things with the people who go there. If you need help this is a place to go. They are a choice, for people who need help. This place is a place to get the help you need.”
