“Dr. Cohen repeatedly harassed me about medications that, in prior offices, didn't agree with me. She was consistently rude towards me. At what turned out to be my last appointment, I asked her if she would get me off Zoloft. I knew she needed to give me detailed directions to avoid my getting the life-threatening condition serotonin syndrome. She failed to give me directions. As a result, I endured 3 weeks of hell with a horrendous case of serotonin syndrome and had to be taken to the hospital. Upon my being released from the hospital, I contacted Dr. Cohen, and in response- rudeness in reply. I opted to end my association with her. I would not recommend this doctor. In addition, with all of this unpleasantness, Dr. Cohen misdiagnosed me at the start of our relationship. She never corrected the diagnosis, so she forced me to struggle with many unnecessary potent medications, their side effects, the stigma and labeling of the misdiagnoses, and the medications' paradoxical effects.”

“Because my review for Teri Callenders practice was taken down I’m posting one here. I can’t speak for anyone else in this office, but the service I received was truly disgusting. They initially doubled their prices to pay for the TMS equipment in the building (that I use none of) and failed to inform me when I went over my appointment time during a discussion so they could charge me extra on the way out. Terri calendar put me on the max dose of Prozac and made the mistake of using Effexor as a bridge to ween me off Prozac in under two months. When clinical research shows Effexor is notoriously difficult to withdrawal from, and rather Effexor should be bridged with Prozac. After this mistake of which I was not informed of, I was told I was psychotic, and when I politely asked for her opinion on why, I was met with silence. I was pressured and given an attitude for not wanting to take antipsychotics as I have a fear of needles and could not do the blood work required at the time. Shortly after I was dropped as a patient with no explanation beyond “failure of payment” despite no attempt made by anyone to reach out to me. I was then given referrals to rehabilitation centers for my klonopin prescription that I had to ween myself off of independently at an unsafe pace because I could not get into another doctor that would prescribe the dose Terri had upped me to. The way you hold yourself above the sick you chose to treat is deplorable. I was 19 struggling with ptsd, multiple anxiety disorders, and ocd.”
